Hey Mega Man Fans! We’re done porting to Sony and Microsoft, and we feel like having some fun with you! It’s Mega May, and Yacht Club Games is celebrating as we usually do: with streaming, revelry, and busting up Robot Masters! Here’s the schedule:
Wabadoo! Shovel Knight is coming to Xbox One tomorrow!!! April 29th – a Microsoft Holiday! Don’t miss picking up our debut title on Xbox One. And don’t forget the Battletoads are making their surprise return to the video game realm. Shovel Knight on Xbox One will mark their first game appearance since Battletoads for the arcade in 1994!
Today we have a fun treat that (believe it or not) has been in the works for 6 months. It’s the official names list of all the enemies in Shovel Knight! We always loved endings to games that let you know all the names of minor characters, like in Super Mario World. We opted to feature the knights instead, but today we’re finally making all the enemies the stars! Make sure to memorize them all so you can blow away your friends with your encyclopedic Shovel Knight knowledge. Which one is your favorite? Let us know in the comments!

How does time pass so fast!? It’s already time for GDC (Game Developers Conference)… and we have big news!
We’re incredibly excited to reveal that Shovel Knight will be coming to Xbox One in April! So many players have been knocking down our door, asking for us to bring the game to Xbox One… we’re so happy to be working with Microsoft to give everyone a chance to play Shovel Knight!
But we’re collaborating with more than just Microsoft! We’ve had the Rare privilege of working with one of the most celebrated studios in gaming. Take a look at the incredible collaboration with Microsoft to ensure the Xbox One version packs a lot of extra punch:
The time is near! We’ve been toiling away on our stretch goal content… and the first release will soon be upon us with Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows! Read on for all the details!
It’s gift-giving season, and we have heard that many of you would like to give Shovel Knight to friends and loved ones. We wholeheartedly recommend this, but there is just no good way to wrap up our digital game in present form!! Therefore, we now present to you the Official Shovel Knight Gift Card Holder. Simply print this out on a nice paper or card stock of your choosing, and slip a Nintendo eShop card into the holder. Viola! If you don’t have a card, then just write a nice message inside to let them know they got Shovel Knight!! Check it!
The end of the year approaching means that it’s Game Award season! And wow, so far we have had a great run! To our surprise and delight, Shovel Knight was chosen as Indie Game of the Year at the Game Awards. You can hear our heartfelt acceptance speech here, and we even mentioned our Kickstarter Backers!! We love you guys <3
Surprise Shovelers and Shovelettes! We’re very proud to announce that Shovel Knight will be tunneling its way to PS4, PS3, and PS Vita next year! We’ve had many of you asking for us to bring the game to your Sony platform of choice, and we’re glad to finally give those of you who haven’t been able to play the game a chance to experience the world of Shovel Knight.
You may have missed it, but the 3DS has been updated to support themes! They can change the HOME Menu’s Backgrounds, Icons, colors, and even music. We recently released an exclusive EU/AU theme for our overseas launch, but this time we’re coming back with a theme for everyone!
Check out the theme below! It’ll be available for all 3DS owners on November 27th.
