Salutations, true believers! It may have seemed like it would never come, but today is the day. Shovel Knight: King of Cards and Shovel Knight Showdown are out now! This momentous occasion marks the completion of Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove. The long, 6 year development journey began with the Shovel Knight Kickstarter in 2013, followed by 4 more games: Plague of Shadows in 2015, Specter of Torment in 2017, and now King of Cards and Shovel Knight Showdown in 2019. It’s all finally done!
Over the years, Shovel Knight has come to many platforms: Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, PC, Mac, Linux and Amazon FireTV. Please refer to this guide for downloading the latest.
King of Cards is the biggest and grandest single player adventure we’ve ever made. Showdown is a multiplayer extravaganza, full of loving nods to the past 6 years of Shovel Knight – it’s hopefully the kind of game you can enjoy with friends forever!
We hope everyone has a blast with the complete Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove package. We poured our hearts and souls into every inch of the game, and we think it shows. Please enjoy playing each game in the collection and seeing how they all connect to one another!
Since finishing up the game, we’ve been writing about many subjects: the lessons we’ve learned, how we operate as a company, and much more. We’ll continue to do so over the coming months. Check out all the neat design articles and instructional info we’ve put together so far:
